I've been thinking about art recently. More specifically, what part art plays in our lives. I don't make art, but I feel like it is a part of me. I love the way that art can create a sense of community, a sense of understanding when it relates to an emotion, the way that it can CREATE an emotion.
Following are several pieces that have made a strong impression on me in the recent past. I think the most interesting thing is that not every piece is a painting, which has been -- until recently -- my idea of what a standard piece of art should be. These pieces range from found art to runway fashion to street fashion to wallpaper to a dj/club night flier, and yes, paintings too... Art is everywhere. Love it.
